The Road to Salvation
1) Yes, you are wonderfully loved by God!
“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
2) However, your sin has put you in grave danger and broken your relationship with God.
“Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” (James 4:17)
3) God’s wrath is certainly coming.
“You are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath when his righteous judgment will be revealed.” (Romans 2:5)
4) Jesus Christ died and shed his blood to give you shelter from the coming judgment.
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” (Romans 5:6)
5) God raised Jesus from the dead!
“…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
6) You can call upon him now and be rescued from the danger you are in.
“For whoever will call upon the Lord will be saved!” (Romans 10:13)
Prayer of Salvation
“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord.
Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
